Group Buy: 1st Gen Janspeed Manifold & Cat £379 (Inc vat)

We will be offering this high performance manifold for a ridiculously low price of £379 (Inc vat). However in order to keep at this low price we need a minimum of 10 people for this to work. If you are interested at all please let me know. This is by far one of the best manifolds out there for the Mini; it has four equal length primaries merging to a large bore section. I’ve attached a pic of the manifold. It is constructed from 304 stainless steel and unlike many other manifold manufactures has a removable cat should you ever have to replace it or substitute a de-cat pipe instead for a track day. The manifold will work for all petrol Gen 1 Mini’s.

Is that price correct chap?

You must be selling at a loss!

TBH Im tempted to buy all 10 and then sell them at a normal price!

Joking apart, does this major discounting not de-value the product?

How does a discount de-value a product! It's not like he's saying, buy an exahust and we'll give you a janspeed manifold (because they're cack)

He's just selling them for a price he feels they're valued at, rather than the RRP

I'd be interested in this but I currently have a Borla Cat back which is quite loud. I'm a little concerned at the noise levels if I have one of these... Can't be scaring the neighbours can I... LOL

Try telling that tp the folks that have just bought one at the correct price.

I suppose it depends on the size of a business with regard to overheads etc, but we see it all the time with ebay sellers under cutting the proper suppliers. When there are no mini tuners left, im sure will ask why did they all close!

What’s the correct price? An RRP is only suggested by the manufacturer, it is surely up to the retailer to decide what margins they want to make. If we stick to a "correct price" on goods then either the manufacturer is artificially keeping the cost high to maintain brand and typically protect their preferred retailers, or the retailers have got together to fix price......neither great for the customer.

I think the vast majority of Mini2 ers woulfd love to see more of these deals.

Leo - Thanks for the PM, if this goes ahead then please count me in.

Thank you for all your interest. However we feel £379 (Inc vat) is a fair price for this manifold. Obviously the group buy offer has helped with the lower pricing.

i see the angle your coming from, but i see it this way

1] the fact that a car can be built in the UK and shipped half way across the world and sold at 20% discount has not stopped you buying a mini....

2] compared to Ford, GM, Japanese and even VAG motors mini tuning on the whole does not appear that cheap

3]cheaper parts may lead to a bigger spend overall if mini tuning becomes a bit more accessible

4] gutted as i have one already, but happy for those who haven't

I hope the price is right as I would like to come down asap and have it fitted, how much is fitting by the way? and what sort off horsepower and torque do you think I will see on my JCW 210?
Sorry for all the questions I’m a bit confused reading other threads on this subject.

Do you have a dyno so I can see the difference on the day?

Many thanks

Would be interested in this.

We have a Playmini cat back exhaust, will this fit OK with the Janspeed manifold?

The Janspeed manifold will create more noise regardless of what cat-back system you currently have. Please note the Janspeed system is compatible with all other aftermarket systems including the OEM item. This manifold will work on ALL PETROL 1st GEN MINI's.

How much would P+P be to Northern Ireland? As im sure it isnt light!

Also how hard is it to get the old one off and this back on? As the Mini is quite tight for space!

Hello, P&P to Northern Ireland is £18.50(Inc vat) it will take a couple of days. As for fitting it makes life a whole lot easier if you have access to a ramp. It can be done on the drive-way but its awkward.

Thanks brother in law has a car ramp, so wouldnt be an issue. I'm interested but I assume the price is only if you get 10 interested parties.

I will have to confirm Monday with Janspeed. If it all goes to plan (heard this cliché too many times before) it will be on our website late Monday morning for £379(Inc vat) + P&P. I’ll keep you all posted. No minimum number of orders required!
