New Member, Repair Woes!

G'day all,

I only came across the forums when I had problems.

Just had a 2006 Cooper S come out of the shop after a clutch and flywheel replacement.

Problem is that the garage did a bad job. The starter is grinding, the noise isolating plug wasn't fitted, and the engine is now wheezy and whining when running in gear, and soooo rough.

I took it by my local BMW Service centre immediately after, and they picked the first 2 issues in seconds. Now it's a battle to get the garage to complete the repair, and have the engine running to the same standard as previously.

By the way, the garage chain in question is Ultratune in Australia, and the branch owner tried to tell me that the car was running just fine after the work was done.

Any feedback on what they could have done wrong refitting components would be really welcome.
