| need rebuilt engine I have a 2004 mini cooper (R 50 I assume, mfg, nov. 2003). I find used engines, rebuild kits, short block, but no rebuilt engines. Also when I find these it may sat fits Cooper S or R 52/53. But on the website I may be buying from it says "will fit your car". The R numbers are body changes only, is this correct? Any help would be appreciated, Thanks.  |

 Welcome to MINI2 ... The R52 designation was for the 1st Generation Convertible, both Cooper and Cooper S models. The R50 (Cooper) and R53 (Cooper S) designations were for 1st Generation Hardtops. |
