| Programming spare key alarm fob Hello all. I've got a 2004 Mini Cooper S. When I bought it, it only had one key. Mini told me I'd have to order a key through them and bring the car to have the key programmed, but a mechanic mate got me a new spare key instead. However, although the key itself can unlock the driver's door and start the car, the alarm fob doesn't work. I've tried turning off the alarm with my original fob and then driving the car with the new key as my mate suggested but that still hasn't worked. Any ideas? Or do I have to pay to have Mini programme it? |
