Cool I'v at last bought one!! Modified S :-D

Hi all at MINI2!

I joined the forum a little while ago (I'm afraid i couldn't find my original hello post as its dropped off the 'subscribed threads' doobery as it was quite a while ago now..

Thanks to everyone who advised me all those many months ago... I decided to go way over budget (after all you can't take it with you) and get a modified Cooper S.. Its a '55 supercharged S with 41k on the clock (only 500 or so miles since all the mods)

ITS AWSOME!!! I cannot believe you get get soo much from a 1.6!

I am truly glad to be a mini owner.

For all those like me who are a bit geeky:
*15% Reduction of supercharger pulley
*bluefin Superchip
*Full induction kit (dont know who makes it - but its one with shinny chromed tubing )
*Milltek exhaust (half decat)
*Lowered and stiffened suspension

Its also had some cosmetic'y bits done like body coloured wheel arches, some orange stripes and air intake and white wheels.

Now I have one I'm hoping to see some local mini meets or events, and also hopefully offer some help in the techy threads..

I dont know where to advertise this (perhaps advertise is the wrong word as i wouldn't charge) but I have an OBDII reader thing and Id be more than happy to assist with fault code reading if anyone local needs a hand.

Ill put some pics up shortly :-)

You'll have to put some pics up of the induction kit & we might be able to let you know what make it is

I have done all that bit... but when I put the URL to that picture in the 'insert picture dialogue' it comes up with the error
"you can only post URLS to other websites after you have made 15 posts"

grrrr

And having just tried to quote your bit it comes up with the same... looks like im just going to have to wait, its not long to go now anyway!

Are you using the Manage Attachments feature?

Yea, I can upload the attachments, and they appear in the manager... I copy the picture url and paste it into the 'insert picture' dialogue... But whenever I try and send the post it says I can't do it until 15 posts.

If you upload a picture via the Manage Attachments it will appear at the bottom of your post. You don't need to copy the URL and insert it in your post by clicking the button. If you wish to insert the attachment in the body of your post you click the button and select the attachment.

The attachments are at the bottom of your post, so there's no need to use IMG tags.

Fair enough.. I though using the image tags embed the images and display them full size without the need to click..

The Site Guidelines require using clickable thumbnails when posting multiple images. If you attach images or copy and paste clickable thumbnail code from the MINI2 Galleries, you only have to click on one thumbnail and then view others (like a slideshow) via the right / left keys.
