Bought Another....... Its a Clubman

Well after being introduced to Mini following a bad experience with a 3 series coupe last year, I have bought a Brand spanking new Mini One Diesel Clubman in Velvet Silver. Will always miss Jenson (My Cooper Hatch) but I need something bigger. Should be collecting in a few days.

Its been really cold over the weekend in Cheshire but did take some photos in the showroom before they took him out. Picked him up Friday and OMG loving the diesel!

Update: Had Lewis 3 weeks today and really loving the new car. Anybody thinking of going for the Diesel but unsure I would reccommend it, its obviously a little slower off the line but for realsitic driving conditions, the mid range torque makes cruising and overtaking really easy without even going over 2250 rpm. So far everything is good, have noticed on two evenings I got home a strong hot plastic almost burning smell but apparently for new engines this is normal but I think it may have been the first occasions the DPF did something. First tank of fuel returned 50mpg average. This should hopefully get better as it runs in!

Is the car less nimble than the standard coupe since it's a bigger car? I've been curious about the clubman but we don't see much of them over here in Asia....

You can tell the car is bigger as it feels different but it still handles excellent, keeping the wheels on the rear corners has helped keep the same handling dispite the longer wheel base. To be honest the Clubman is not everyones cup of tea but if you like the styling and need the slightly larger boot etc, then the Clubman is just as awesome as the other Mini models. My new One D is actually quicker 50 - 70mph than my Cooper Hatch Petrol was and you can tell, it feels far quicker mid range than the petrols. This basically makes this one feel more nimble than my old one!

Yeah thats BlueBell Crewe, I got my first Mini Hatch (Cherished) from them, then my partner got her Brand New Mini One Hatch from there and I've just got my new One D Clubby from them. Really good delearship! I absolutely love my new clubby!!!! Do you know when your's is turning up?

Early March I hope, just waiting for the call to confirm. I only went in to test drive a second hand clubman diesel they had, one thing led to another and I ended up ordering a brand new SD Clubman on the 50/50 scheme - then I had to explain to the wife...........

I always find the best way to start is: "now before I start, this is the best way to go about buying a new car and works out better", then go into why you spent twice as much !
