what have i bought?

Hey all, First post so go easy please.
Today i purchased a 55 plate cooper s auto for my wife - its gorgeous in metallic purple, so pleased, However, i am unsure what spec i have bought for insurance purposes, I think it may be a john works but im not sure, are there any obvious signs - the engine has works written on it above the air flow pipe - this appears to have been altered alsofor a huge air flow pipe (but i have no idea this could be standard)- also the exhaust which is crazy loud is made by milltek, do i take it i have a non standard car, i am cluesless and dont know what to do, annoyed that the garage never told me, but having never owned a mini, why would i know any different, any advice greatfully received - i dont want to be insured wrongly obviously as my family will be using the car - in any case this car is rapid

sounds like its been modded. miltecs not standard, id check with the previous owner if i were you.
