I'm new to the site and have FINALLY joined after owning 3 Minis, the first two were 1st Gen Coopers, and I currently own an R56 Cooper S (56 reg). I took the plunge last year, and began the
mod journey, and I have officially become addicted.
Starting to get expensive, especially when the cars aren't the most reliable things on the road, but its all worth it once you step into the car and enjoy the ride!
Pics of the current car (Black Beauty) will be uploaded soon. She is a stealthy black Cooper S, almost 100% dechromed on the exterior, and I am going for a carbon/alcantara look inside. The car has practically every extra you can think of. When I found the car 2 years ago, I picked it up for a bargain price of £12K at 35,000 miles, and it currently has around 53,000 miles.
I subsequently got bored of the speed and have since taken a few trips to Will at P-Torque for a Stage 2 remap, Forge Intercooler and Induction Kit, and recently took a visit to Theron at Sign My Ride for a few custom vinyl wraps. I have fallen in love with my car all over again and people always stop and stare when they see the car down the road, maybe because it looks rubbish or maybe because it stands out for looking so sick, but you won't see me rolling down the road without a smile on my face!
