England TR on the factory CD player. 1st gen

Hi, mum girlfriend has just purchased a second hand first generation and after couple of hours of driving with the cd player on it came up with TR, I'm presuming it's Traffic report. I've turned off all traffic reports and news reports. Then all of a sudden, it could be minutes or hours later it'll will come up again but it's switched off. Also when turn the cd player off it sounds like its tryin to read a disc but nothing in it due to using the disc changer.
This is really puzzling me now, any help would be really appriciated
