United-Kingdom JCW Clubman newbie

Hello, I have had my Mini Clubman JCW for 6 months now and I am very happy with it/him. I'm sure it's a boy mini.
I wanted something small and nippy to replace my WRX, and this is perfect. I can easily fit our 2 teenage boys in the back seats, and a full week's groceries in the boot. Perfect mix of performance and practicality.

Thought I'd join a forum and see if anyone had any ideas or speculation on the following...
My JCW was registered on 1st July 2008 which I am thinking makes it a very early one. In fact the log book says 'Prototype' in the Type Approval Number bit, and no model or variant details. I have no idea if that's significant. The VIN number checks out though so I'm happy it's a genuine factory JCW.

There is something else a bit odd in that there is a Mini cherished history and mileage certificate in with the paperwork verifying the mileage at 868 miles in February 2010, and the owner being BMW Group. That's not many miles in 20 months from first registration. I bought the car from a main dealer as a cherished Mini, but they were a bit clueless as to any history of the car.

May have just been owned by BMW like my JCW. Mine was 12 months old with only a few thousand miles on the clock. Don't think its that easy for the dealers to make a sale on a JCW as the cost of the vehicle and insurance and running costs so they can sit in the dealers for a while before sold .
