| Close to Owning a Mini
My wife and I are very close to purchasing a new Mini Clubman.
We were set on buying a VW Sportwagon TDI but then heard more than a few horror stories about maintenance issues. A friend who owns one has been spending lots of dough keeping his running and it's only 3 years old with 55,000 miles. The fuel mileage is nice but he's up around $1,800 on maintenance and repairs. Unfortunately, his story is not unusual.
Anyway we love the Clubman so will probably make this purchase this weekend. Any info on maintenance costs would be appreciated. I'll also post questions about maintenance in the appropriate area of this forum.
