spare wheele

Hi i have an 54plate mini convertible, which i purchased 6 mths ago. ive been told by the garage that minis dont have spare wheels is this true

Yes this is true but they came with runflat tyres on wheels 16" and bigger. There was an option the have a space saver fitted but not many had it. The kit is still available.

They give you a bottle of gunge to put in if they arent fitted with runflats and you have no spare, that fluid freezes in winter so thats no use either, and it has a use by date too or the flavour goes off I suppose, obviously designed by someone thats never had to use the stuff when its minus 20.
Lots of cars dont have a spare these days as standard, all to do with weight saving they will tell you, but its actually to save them a few bob on the build.
