Hello,
just thought i'd say hi and tell you about my MINI.
I'm from the north of Sweden originally, but i currently live in Stockholm with my girlfriend, my cats and my MINI.
It's a 2002 MINI One, as old as they come bought it in 08 and have hardly had a single problem with it since apart from a flat tyre (which isn't a problem with the actual car anyway).
I've just recently started doing some work on it myself, just simple stuff like changing the rims, touching up the interior, weekly checks, (yes, i bought the Haynes manual) and so on..
The idea is to move on to service, paint jobs, engine work and most definitely the sound system (I work as an audio engineer).

I am completely in love with my MINI and i look forward to every morning when i get to drive it to work.

PS. The picture is kinda old, so the new rims aren't on, sorry about that DS.

/Johan

Hi and welcome to Mini2!
Have you changed to factory spec alloy rims or aftermarket?
It is unusual to see a Mini here in UK fitted with steel wheels and wheel trims as most seem to come with alloys or owners pick up a cheap replacement set on the secondhand market when other owners upgrade them.

I thank you
The "new" rims are the R82 8-spoke (aka Silverstone) silver. It turns out the previous owner had them just lying around with worn out summer tires.
So i got a tire dealer to take the old tires off and fit new continental ones to them, touched them up a little bit (2 new MINI stickers and some rust removal) so now they look great. I'm a bit amazed at how much difference new rims do to the overall look of the car. Especially going from what was on it before, steel rims just doesn't seem befitting for a MINI
