Me and my hearse

Hi

Just picked up my 2010 Cooper Clubman and Im a happy bunny.

Its the first of the 2010 model year with the new 1600 petrol engine.

It has Chilli pack so nice sports seats, climate control etc, plus it has 17" Pace alloys & heated screen.

I needed the Clubman to get #2 rug rat in his car seat. I know the suicide door is on the wrong side for me in the UK, but so far it has worked a treat.

I had a black Honda Accord estate before and now with a black Mini estate my mates think I am moonlighting as undertaker...

Anyway glad to be onboard

Very nice! I too own a Clubman. That third door is practical especially with kids. Enjoy it!

Thanks to all for your kind words.

TheNun - Ive been dieing to drive one so I collected it after working the graveyard shift & it really is dead good!

Good points so far:
A hoot to drive, you can just push and push the handling
Fantastic sports seats - really supportive
I love the piano black interior (nice and sombre for any undertaking business)
I love the spicy red interior lighting
I discovered the parking sensors
The Clubman 'club door' really does work well giving kids better access than a regualr coupe

Bad points
Only getting 37mpg. I expected a bit more, I remember reading 50mpg in some review? My Accord averaged 35mpg, weighted some 200KG more, was only 5 speed (not 6) and that didnt have idle stop.
What digs? (yet more undertaking references)

Anyway I sha'nt let that spoil the enjoyment. Its a cracking little car and part of the family already - my son thinks its called Charlie. Well Minis have to have a name dont they.
