DIY 2007 Mini Cooper S

Hello All,

I just inherited my dad's mini cooper s and I though it would be a great car to get started into the whole performance/tuning world. I have no idea how to make my way around an engine but I have a mechanic friend who'd be willing to teach me and help me work on my car.

I was wondering if you guys could tell me what would be a good way to get started improving my mini? What would be the cheapest and most discrete way to turn my mini into a little beast?

Thanks for your help.

Juan

Congratulations! What year is your Cooper S? How many miles are on it?

Some people like to start with cold air intake and exhaust. How is it running now? Does the car have a standard or automatic?

Exhaust, CAI, decat, remap, brakes (very important)

Be prepared to spend loads of money on parts, labour and rising insurance premiums!
