Newbie w/ stock 2007

Hey guys newbie here looking to get some advice on modifying my 2007 mini. I own the car outright and I'm looking to but about 4k worth of mods into it (it was my wife's daily driver but is mine now) The car just rolled over 66K miles and is bone stock with an automatic transmission. Right now I'm planning on NM RS spring kit for a better stance and possibly sprint booster power converter. If I went that route I would have about 3300 bucks left to play with.

My goal is to improve the performance of the car to around the cooper S level or better. Any advice in terms up upgrades (i.e. turbos or superchargers, ECU flashes, suspension, etc) would be greatly appreciated. The car is a daily driver thus I'm not looking to go too crazy, but stock just won't do and I want to get the best bang for my buck. Thanks in advance for the advice!
