From Argentina, the a** of the World, I say Howdy!

Howdy MINI2 Community!

This is Carlos from Buenos Aires, Argentina. Proud owner of a brand new 2012 MINI Cooper R58 Coupé (Pepper White).

I've been posting some reply and other tiny modifications I'm doing to my ride.

Being honest, having such a machine is a dream come true.

My family ride is a Chevrolet Cruze 5 (Hatchback) LTZ, A/T; obviously, comparison is hateful, but when you have family, a more 'civilized' car is necessary.

Hope you like mine, here're the pictures (I'm not a photography enthusiast, so, I did my best with my phone camera, and poor garage light).

I'm very happy for participating in this community, thank you very much for allowing me to post.

For now that's all; cars to me are a matter of passion, and I enjoyed each and everyone I had: cheap or expensive, having 4 wheels it's all that matters - had a Renault Clio, an Alfa Romeo 145 Quadrifoglio, a Ford Falcon, a Chevy Vectra GT (I think it's Opel or Vauxhall in Europe, a Mitsubishi Eclipse when I lived in the States, and a few more).

Anyway, I'll be more than glad to receive any feedback. Some personal info.: I'm married, have a 9 years old boy (he's Boca Juniors fan, the club "gave birth" to Carlitos Tevez) and I work at Hewlett-Packard - I'm a CxO in Project and Program Management. I play drums, and Heavy Metal and Electronic are my favorites (e.g.: Iron Maiden, Metallica, Mudvayne, Slipknot, and in the other hand Mauro Piccotto, Paul Van Dyk, and so on...).

Well, thanks for your time & patience reading these lines. Enjoy - the poor quality - pics. (sorry for that).

Sincerley,
Carlos (Charly)

Thanks so much for the welcoming, JohnnyC!

Glad to hear you visited Argentina; you visited Buenos Aires? Was it a long while ago - lets say 10 years? There are only two official BMW dealerships that offers MINI, however there are quite a few of them in the streets - I have to admit is not a mainstream car here, but there are more people like us that shows good taste for cars (as for the other 22 provinces, well, not sure, it's a very urban car).

Nice talking to you!

Cheers...

Last time I went was just over a year ago.
Most of that time was in La Plata, El Calefate and Ushuaia

I bet the Minis suspension doesn't last too long on your roads, doesn't last too long over here either, not impressed with the quality of the Mini shock absorbers.
