England Cooper S Clubman - new boy!

Had my Cooper S Clubman 1 month now and LOVE IT!

Looking on the forum I have only 2 queries and most folk seem to have the same - run flats are crap aren't they? and the sport button, feels great when used but how exactly does it work and does it guzzle loads more juice when in operation?

Runflats are definitely expensive and hard-riding. They will get you 50'sh miles down the road in the event that they lose air due to a hazard, since there's no spare tire. But most find that substituting "normal" tires (and adopting some type of flat-tire incident measures) are a great improvement.

The sport button changes the MINI's electronic controls to quicken the throttle response, and to stiffen the steering. In using mine on my 2012 MCS, I've not noticed any changes in fuel consumption, particularly.

I was not aware that the SPORT button stiffens the steering as well. I'll pay more attention to see if I feel a difference.
