England New Member and question

Hi All
I guess I am returning to the mini fold having had a break after swapping to a Audi A1 and now back into a 2013 Dooper.

Anyway started planning a few subtle mods now the better weather may be on its way.

So rang the dealer today to enquire about buying the Cooper S fuel filler to my 2013 Cooper D only to be told I couldn't . The LCI would appear to not be covered by a specific part, but I assume the SD has one so can't see an issue.

So can anyone help with a part number or does the pre LCI Petrol part fit just fine. I was going to do it myself and am aware I need to paint the bezel but there are no LCI and D specific post about compatibility.

That's great. Looks like the standard one fits but I will see if I can find the SD part number as well.

Looking at the individual part numbers that make up the whole thing they are all the same irrespective of petrol or diesel. The retrofit kit 51170419864 also fits all models according to RealOEM . Still cannot understand then why the dealer says it won't fit.

Dealers often say 'No' as the easy option when they don't really know or can't be bothered to find out what fits.

eg. The Dealers usually say a spacesaver spare wheel kit can't be fitted to Mini's after they leave the factory but they can and are available for many models (except the Cooper S Hatch) if you do the research!

Thanks for the help , hopefully it will fit with no issue.

Just waiting for spring before I Martini stripe my Pepper white Dooper.
