Thanks for your welcome and compliments on the car. My two other cars are Automatics and I have made a few mistakes with the stick shift but, as it's my current favourite over the other two, I'm sure it will get better as I drive it more and more.
My previous Jaguar has a supercharger (or more accurately, a very large supercharger bolted onto a small 400bhp V8) and that wailed like a Banshee when the fun pedal was pressed. There is something about the long ratios on this car that seems to make it feel that you're getting a lot of Ooomph from each shift.
My son has a relatively new BMW 330i, even he is questioning why he is running such an expensive beast when you can get so much fun for so little money!
