Hi All

Picked up my first mini yesterday. Cooper S Convertible

replacing Ruby, my beloved Civic Type-R who was being used less and less by me (I commute into London and my wife struggled with doors and rear seats with our three year old! + we have a Civic workhorse 1.8)

I decided on the Cooper S convertible as power output is similar, drive is more comfortable and my wife will steal it at every opportunity!

I hope not, but I bet the Honda will have turned out to be a more reliable car than the MINI will be, my neighbour always had Civics for the last 20 odd years and said they never cost him a penny in repairs other than routine maintenance, then he had Polo and it went wrong the second week and went back to the dealer for 2 days to get it fixed, he's now looking at another Honda.

White Cooper Love for the Mini!

Love my Mini, going to love my Countryman S All-4 when it gets here but gotta say I have had my Honda time also.

My 1st car was a used 1980 Honda Prelude 5 speed, ran great and never missed a beat even at 180'000 miles, no blue smoke NOTHIN.

Ugly car but it worked, finally I lost the heater core and got radiator fluid all over the floor it just had no heat/defrost. That was a cold winter

Keep Motorin Peeps!!!!!!!

thanks :)

thanks for the welcome!

After reading about Timing Chain Tensioners and rattles and less than stellar response from dealers..... i'm scared!

As its been said, the honda has given me 3 years trouble free motoring.

anyway - a change is good

thanks
