Just bought an old 2002 Cooper S, which was sitting for a couple of months and in need of repair. Looks like the previous owner did a lot of suspension work (tie rods, ball joints, control arm bushings, etc..). I'm told it needs a timing chain guide - I'll probably just replace everything (guide(s) chain, tensioner, cam and crank gears..) --I haven't gotten into it yet.
Bought it because I rented a Mini once on a business trip and didn't want to give it back.. This one's a little older, but the body's in great shape. It's OK for it to break now and again - I do my own repairs and I have a primary vehicle anyway- so I picked 'Just4Fun' as my Forum Name. Fix it/break it/Fix it again... I'm good with that
I joined the Forum for tips/advice and to learn about the Minis from those that have them.. See you on the posts!
