Repeat failure of Supercharger Bypass Valve
Hi everyone. The supercharger bypass valve in my 2005 Mini Cooper S was replaced by an independent repair shop this week. I drove the car normally for two days, and today, again, the car hiccuped, the check engine light came on, the (forgive my vocabulary I don't know much about cars) the EML light came on, the flat tire indicator came on, and the battery light came on for a minute. Then the car went into limp mode. Just like it did when I took it to my mechanic at the beginning of the week. What is going on? Were they wrong about the supercharger bypass valve? I'd do anything to avoid taking it to my "local" dealer which is 45 minutes away and with whom I fought about replacing the alternator which burned up in the power steering pump fire. Thanks for any help.
