United-States Finally just did it

Greetings all those who didn't procrastinate & just did it sooner. Don't know why I waited so long, but suddenly decided to test drive a fairly plain non S in a dealer lot - didn't make serious offer, then weeks later opened auto pages on local website & there was my car, 2006 R53 (whatever that meant) racing green, white stripes, and the big S - driving's fun again, makes arriving sort of disappointing. But buying a car in New England at Christmas not recommended, as flat front tire 3rd time out & assumption it was run flat = tire destruction, more delay & surely caused record breaking snowfall. This hatchback, for all it's mininess, came with 2 leadlined doors & I'm still calibrating my push to engage the stops on my sloped drive. As much fun though as my old Yamaha road bike, which didn't have heated seats.
And so easy to roll start from 5mph - good old gravity!

Good news bad news

Hi Jim, thanks for the look.

Ya, you could quite easily call it pleased, since compared to it most else I've driven handled more like a boat than a land vehicle, and my 4L truck gets about half the mileage. Only issue less positive so far emerged just yesterday when the local dealer advised that their wrenching is priced at an equally wrenching $120/hr, so the warm fuzzy re getting a nc O2 sensor under warranty didn't last long when shown a "recommended list" of needed brake line rust, suspension, and oil leak items worth almost half what I paid for the car, but they washed it on the way out free so I left not a penny poorer with a black spot the SES had turned yellow past few weeks and will buy more lottery tickets hereon.

So are you a longtime Mini owner?
