New Girl

So I drive an 04' Cooper, white, and I am only on here to try to figure out what is wrong with my car. My cousin drives a G35 and told me forums are the best way to learn about cars so he made me sign up on here. I have a CD player that won't play CD's, and I can't figure out how to play them (I'm pretty sure it's broken). Any help is appreciated. By the way, I just got my license and car a few days ago.

Probably the worst way to introduce yourself on a forum as it reads, I'm only here to take and not give.

Hi and welcome :-)

I don't know if you have this but this may help you out a bit if it's a standard stereo

Are you trying to play a cd that you have made or a shop bought one ?

I had a problem once with cd's I made in iTunes I think it was the disc it's self I changed the make of disc and have had no problems since.
The other thing is the lazer may be dirty, you can by a cleaner for them something like this

If not may be the stereo is duff if so you have a couple of options
you could put a iPod/iphone retrofit in so you don't need to use the cd or upgrade the stereo or buy a standard replacement from ebay.
If you buy another standard stereo there are two makes of cd one has flat pins on the connector and the other is round so before you buy just check to see what you have.

Anyway just hope it's finger or disc trouble :-) enjoy your new toy be safe
