Wales New Welsh Dooper

Hi all,

Little intro......My name's Nikki (I'm actually a guy but my parents tucked me up at birth with the spelling!!), I'm over in South Wales and yesterday bought my Dooper in replacement for a very unreliable but bags of fun MG TF160.

Picked this one up from Kent, so a nice 8 hour return drive up, but I would have made an excuse to take it on a long blast if I had bought it local so it killed a couple of birds at the same time

So the car.......What I know about the car is it's a 58 plate Cooper Diesel in PW, 64K Miles 17" Crowns, Black Half Leather, MFSW, Climate Control, Xensons and that's all I know at the moment as the dealer didn't know too much to be fair (Was a Honda/Mazda not a MINI Dealership). I cleaned the car earlier and only then noticed that it had Xenons which I was ecstatic about, and earlier adjusting the mirrors I turned the know to far (steady!) and was suprised to see my mirrors folding up so I'm going to speak to my local MINI dealership tomorrow to get it's spec list when it was new to see if I can find out a bit more.

First impressions I absolutely love the car, obviously a lot more comfort than the MG even with 17" wheels, but fun too!! I do like a spirited drive here and there and the way it takes corners is addictive . So far so good (Famous last)!!

Only one pic at the moment but will get out and take more soon.....

Thanks for reading

Welcome. I gave a Dooper Convertible and I love it.

If you search VIN decoder on here, there is a site where you pop in the last 7 numbers of the BIN code and it tells you all the spec.

Cheers......Just been out to note down the VIN and the last two numbers are missing, not scratched off, the VIN plate is broken on the end. There goes my sleep wandering if I've bought a hookie motor!!

It should show it on the log book, and it is also on a plate in the engine bay?

Congrats on the Xenon's by the way, wish mine had those as the standard lights are crap.

The log book has been sent to dvla and my half doesn't show it BUT I had a look at the VIN plate again this morning and the black background colour had come off the end but you can still make out the numbers so I've got a full 17 numbers present

Yeh really happy it has xenons, I've never had them on previous cars so went for a spin last night to test them out and very impressed!!
