England New owner from Birmingham, England!

Hi all,

Just bought my first ever mini, a used 05 plate mini one. Very nice car in great condition, paid 3300 for it, it's done 59000 miles and not a scratch on it. Just wondering if I need any advise at all, signs to look out for etc? Also, does anyone know how I change the bulb on one of the like blinkers/flashlights/lamps on the front of the grill?

Thanks in advance!

Hi and welcome to mini2

Only things I would say is change your oil and filter regular
Keep an eye on you right hand engine mount if you see oil leaking from it change it
And get the stage one fan relay check it's quick and simple to check few posts here about how to do if

Apart from that normal weekend or bi weekend stuff check oil level coolant level tire pressures drive and enjoy

I would say if you want invest in a scan gauge or an ultra gauge this is the one I use, then you can read any codes and reset them if needed, and if you have a code post it someone will help
With the ultra or scan gauge you can also keep an eye on you coolant temp and much more
The gauge on the dash if you have one is for show only

Hope this help enjoy your new toy :-)
