Looking to be a new MINI S owner soon

What's going on everyone. Been looking around for a Mini Cooper S preferably a 2006 and up. I recently sold my 98 Volkswagen Jetta and need something newer and more reliable to get me to work, school, etc. I've found a few with around 70-80k miles and within my price range. Is there any thing I should be concerned about with buying a used MINI or any common issues with MiNiS with this many miles? I was also told these come with a more reliable timing chain as well so I don't have to worry about changing a belt. Any advice or feedback would be greatly appreciated.

i have a 2003 mini cooper s great car they do have issues with water getting into the tailgate handle... so after 1 month i wash my car a lot i should add.... water made the tailgate fail to open fixed it plan on making it more water proof haha..

also have read that the 5 speed on reg cooper ed... and the cvt tranny is not the most reliable.

currently at 129,900 miles and it runs very strong. LOVE IT

2006 MCS will be supercharged and 2007 and up will be turbocharged ... different in character and drive.

N14 engine in 2007 - 2010 MCS models had lots of problems.
