Flat tire monitor

Flat tire monitor light came on, took my 2005 Mini Cooper to tire dealership where I purchased tires. Everything was checked has a slow leak on one of the tires valves they fixed this and also checked tire pressure on all four tires. The flat tire monitor must be malfunctioning light will not go out even after a reset what next?

I think over in the USA the tyre pressure monitor is built into each wheel rim and not like here in the UK where it uses the ABS rotation sensor to monitor it?
I know where the sensor is built into the wheel they are very easy to damage when changing/removing/refitting the tyres if the fitters are a bit cack handed.
Your sensor might be damaged, I would get that checked first?

This only applies to US models built August 2007 onward. The TPMS in the thread originators MINI uses data from the ABS sensors.
