Hi All,

I am new Mini 2, I am currently driving a 05 mini cooper. I was driving yesterday evening when the power steering gave up.

I was going round a slow corner and nearly didn't get round.

I am shocked after researching the internet that this is known and common fault, I spoke to mini Ireland and they would not comment on the issue. They said there is a goodwill programme setup to deal with this issue on a case by case basis.

Can anyone here give me some more info on this, has anyone get a goodwill discount?

I look forward to your comments

Thanks

Lots of info here in link below.....BMW will replace your pump for free under 'Goodwill' if a Dealer diagnostic test shows a failure, as long as Mini is under 10 years old and reasonable mileage:-
