Hello to all Mini people. As the title suggests we are two Mini's richer this week. One white with black stripes and the other black with white stripes.
Black one is a JCW and the white a Cooper S that has a full JCW body kit with an ECU remap.
I bought the first to replace my wifes awful Land Rover on Tuesday from a girl down in Wolverhampton. I drove it back to Newcastle and thought, this is so much fun, i need one too. So located one on Radlett outside of London and picked it up today.
What an amazing pair of cars. I have to say I am smitten.
Looking around the forums, it would seem to be a good thing to find out if an engine needs de-coked. How does anybody know if this needs to be done? Or am i just doing the usual "buys new car, reads internet stuff, gets paranoid".
What would i look out for?
Both go like sh*t off a stick, so not sure if coking is a speed problem.
Anybody enlighten me please?
Ta
Scott
