JCW 16" brakes - stupid question

Ok...it's stupid but I ask it.

If you have the JCW 16" brakes, does that mean you are limited to 16" wheels or above - i.e. cannot fit 15" ?
Not sure if the relationship between these two sizes works this way..?

The front disc's are 297mm and the smallest oem wheels that fit are 17''.

Hope that helps.

Thanks for the reply...and forgive my ignorance, but does that imply a difference in what I can fit for oem and non oem (after market)? Also, what about the back ..are they not all the same size? thanks

Any 17s will be fine, as there is one 16" OEM wheel (can't remember which one) that they will fit under.

And yes, no problems at the back as its only the pads that get changed, discs and caliper stay the same

Statistics are like mini-skirts, they give you a lot of ideas but hide whats important

I guess that rules out the idea of a second set of 15" for winter/snow chain driving....
thanks for the help.
