Rims and tyres

For PW ONE
What rim or tyres are suitable? Just for normal ride to be remapped soon.

Please comment on
a) 16" or 17"
b) oz superlaggera silver or oz superturismo GT
c) x40 or 45
d) weight of the oz rims
e) weight of the 15" MINI alloy rims

Thanks.

a) 16" are better than 17" overall in my opinion, lighter weight typically, slighter higher profile tire fitting for better ride, wheels cheaper to buy, tires cheaper to buy.
b) Superleggara are lighter than 'turismo and easier to clean.
c) ET45 is same as stock and therefore preferable.
d) Not sure on the weight of the OZ 16 & 17's, but the 15" Superleggaras are only 10.4 lbs.
e) The 7-hole wheels are the best OEM choice and only 12 lbs each - fit some 195/55R15 performance tires on these and you will have an excellent cost-effective setup. The 8-spoke wheels are heavier at 15.2 lbs. each.

If available in your area the Konig Heliums in 15" are a good choice in the 10 lb. range and inexpensive.

For a MINI One weight is the enemy - go as lightweight as possible.
