What size BBS rims

Hi Guys,

I'm a little new to the Mini world, was wondering what size BBS rims would fit the Mini. Would 18" fit? I tried surfing in tirerack and it only shows up to 17" .

TIA!!

There are a good few guys on here with 18s (not necessarily BBS) with no bother at all (myself included). 18s fit fine, just make sure you get the right offset and you'll be grand

Im told by bbs that they dont make them any bigger than 17 in the 4x100 fitment, you would need to go to 5 stud...

...which you should be able to get a hub converter for, if you are absolutely set on BBS, though there's a world of choice out there...

If you do a search (see the little red box at the top of the page), you can find members who have fitted 18s, that might give you some ideas. Failing that, try the aftermarket wheel gallery:

http://www.mini2.com/forum/wheels-tyres-brakes/101583-aftermarket-wheel-gallery.html

You should get plenty of ideas from that

Hey nylo,

thanks for ur help so far... i was reading further down and noticed that with 18x8, there are some rubbing issues... what about 18x7.5 has anyone tried that?

Im looking at another brand of rims and they come in minimum 18". One minimum is 18x8 and the other 18x7.5.

Wales Replacing Run Flat Tyres....

Hi,

I have a Mini cooper with 17" minilite style wheels, the tyres are becoming a bit bald and need replacing....

Does anyone know if I need to stick with Run Flat tyres or can and 205/45 R17 fit my rims?

Cheers.

These guys will help you nice here. Getting a 2nd opinion never hurt Take a look at the wheel gallery here, you may find something else in 18 you like. But then again you chose BBS.. you already chose the best! BBS only for my little mini. Keep me posted on what you do, id love to know how it turns out. See you on E46 or here now!

Do you just have to have 18"? 18" usually equals more weight and more weight is anti-performance and anti-ride quality. Bigger wheels which must use smaller profile tires are also exponentially more prone to damage from pot holes, curbs, etc. But, if I did source a 18" wheel I think I prefer the O.Z. Superleggera best (18x7). It's no BBS in build quality, but good enough for mere mortals and the price isn't bad either. Also, the 18" Superleggera's offset is in the correct range, so you shouldn't have any rubbing issues. They're $285 each at Tire Rack. They're also 17.6 pounds each, not bad.

Cheers!
