SSR Comp center cap problem...

here is my dillema

when i got my Mini cooper i purchased some SSR Comp rims for it, all fine and dandy... I had the plastic "ceter caps" that came with the rims (that say SSR on them) and they were working fine. Then late this summer as I was taking a corner some of the SSR caps came off. i was unable to find them so i ordered some new ones from tirerack (only place i could find them) only to recieve aluminum center caps instead of the plastic ones. while these ones look much nicer, they have a ridge on the inside of the center cap that will not allow them to fit on the mini cooper (the outside daim. is correct but the inner ridge hits the Mini's hub and the caps will not go on). Many hours with a dremel and still no luck

to make a long story short: does anyone know where i could get some plastic SSR center caps or even ANY brand cap that will fit on those rims?

thanks!

~Fizz

I encountered the same problem. The metal caps are so much nicer, but the MINI hub sticks out too far and there is not enough clearance for the cap to catch on the groove that holds it in. The only solution I could think of is to use a wheel spacer, but I don't want to do that. TireRack told me that they are out of plastic caps and it is on backorder. They gave me no estimate about availability.
