I now have the OEM Dunlop 5000A DSSTs. Although I'm happy with the ride, I've become a little concerned about the grip. I find that without too much effort I can get the wheels to spin when starting off. Given that one of the main reasons for sticking with the runflats is safety, this spinning is not reassuring (I haven't tried taking any corners at speed to test, but I'd guess that would be less than I might wish)...
I've seen others comment that the Dunlop fares better in the wet (which would be reassuring, since that's my biggest concern), but I'd be keen to hear of better options.
Dunlop SP Sport 3000A is a summer version of the "all-season" 5000. It's grippier, but that softer compound needs to be rotated often to ensure long(er) life of all 4 tires. I'm hoping more manufacturers get in on runflat development, such as Bridgestone just did for the 17" tires. For now, the 16" wheels only have 1st generation rubber available.
