| MINI2 Regular | OZ Superleggeras Found a set of these for sale locally, he wants £600 for them there as new, Now are these going to be lighter and better for the mini than my stock 5-star 16"ers on goodyear runflats, the tyres on them are Eagle F1's (GYs) the only concern is the offset of ET38 and the tyres being 205/40/17. Oh there 17"ers by the way? |

| New Mini Specialists | Hi, Not sure about the exact weight of that combo but they will be fairly light, your can probably find out the weight of the wheel and the tyre separatly to get an idea of how heavy the combo will be. The offset is on the wider side, but it will have good caliper clearance if you wanted a BBK later. The tyres are slightly off on the size (normally 205/45 or 215/40) so your gearing will be lower, which will mean that you will accelerate faster. Which is more important in reality than top speed. | "Buying and selling" | Yeh swap em for 45 profile after they are worn, ride quality wont be too bad if you have not had it lowered, although it will be more bumpyer than the 16s on runflats. Im pretty sure that 17" combo will be similar weight to the mini 16s as the leggras are a very light wheels to start with so you wont find your car any slower!. 2001 cooper (sold) ![]() 1995 Supra RZ-S TT auto in white. |

Offline | I've got 17" Oz Superturismos with 205/40's on with no real problems.. the 40mm profile gives the wheel edge a bit of protection actually. Mine is a 45mm offset so I have no real problems, 18" OZ SuperL's I believe have to be bought in a 38mm offset otherwise they won't fit IIRC ![]() If you do a search for Oz Superleggeras on here there is a lot of info ![]() | MINIaddiction | | For MIDLANDS Folk in their MINI's | |
