Should I swap wheels when trading in my old car??

Ive just changed my car and currently have (for a week) a MCS and my old Cooper which is about to go to the dealers. Two of my tyres on the Cooper are brand new and I was thinking of swapping them with two of the wheels on my (secondhand) MCS.

I have obviously already been given a price on the Cooper and I'm sure they took the tread into account so im not sure where i morally or legally stand if i do swap (btw both cars have Bullets so would just be a simple swap).

Everyone I ask say just to swap them over the dealer wont notice but I feel guilty. What would you do. If I do swap I will have 4 perfect wheels with 4 very good tyres, and if I dont I will have 2 good tyres, 2 not so good and a couple of scuffs on them but im thinking that this may be wrong!?

What would you do?

Swap them, they still make enough money on peeps trading in as it is.
Doubt they would notice so if your in position to do it-do it!

Just dont visit the dealers for a while until he/she forgets!

The dealer wont even notice - so dont worry about it. They hardly take much notice of the condition of the tyres and wheels if at all!

Swap em! I was offered a val when I look my car in for tyre change last month. I reminded them that new tyres were being fitted and that this should be taken into account, but was told it made no difference to the trade price at all!

i swapped my wheels around on the day i picked my MCS up.. put two worn tyres with two kerbed alloys back on..

kept the best wheels & tyres to sell..

dont let the dealer make any money out of you.. they make enough when selling the car again..

the moneys better in your pocket than the dealers..

I once took a decent stereo out of a VW I was trading in and swapped it with the cheapest one I could find. After a value had been agreed!
