Goodyear EMT replacement?

I need to replace the front tyres on my son's MINI Cooper. The current
ones are Goodyear Eagle NCT 5 195/55 R16 EMT 87H run-flats.

They have been fine, done about 18,000 miles, but they make the "creaking" noise on the rim. They are getting close to 2mm on the outer edge, so I want to replace them.

Will fitting a different make fix the noise? Any suggestions for compatible tyres (I only want to replace the front ones)?

Nige

I believe the only other choice in a 195/55-16 runflat is the Dunlop SP Sport 3000A DSST.

If you buy two new tires they should go on the rear with the rears swapped to the front.

i have change my NCT5 for MICHELIN Pilot Primacy (not run flat) and I am satisfed, this is not a very sport tire, this is a good compromise for all days

I have also change (the MINI from my woman...) for Bridgestone ER300 (not run flat), and i am very satisfed with Bridg.
