| MINI2 Regular | Tyre advice please Hi all, Ok main story is that ive been offere a set of 4 17" bullet alloys 8 months old for £300. The rear tyres are good as new but the front two are needing new tyres soon. They have on them 205 x 45/R17 Dulop Runflats. Does anyone know roughly how much these are? Also if there too expensive would i be ok with putting non-runflats on the front? Thanks for all advice, Kris GREY COOPER S |

| Polo GT Owner! | www.mytyres.co.uk Haven't checked recently but last time I was looking on mytyres Dunlop's (run-flats) were about £115 a tyre I don't think alot of people would recommend mixing tyre brands, treads, types etc ![]() |

Offline | Mixing runflat and standard tires is NOT recommended: http://www.mini2.com/forum/showpost....63&postcount=4When buying two new tires, they should be mounted on the rear: http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tirete....jsp?techid=52 |

| MINI2 Regular | P ZERO NERO 205/40 ZR17 84W XL , M+S marking are only £63.60 each so 4 would be £254.4 rather than a pair of dunlops for £252. There is lots of debate over non runflats vs runflats but at the moment its mostly about budget. Running Pirelli at the mo which seem ok and im surfe ive heard P ZERO are good? GREY COOPER S |

Offline | While researching ongoing costs for my new Cooper I made a quick call to Kwik Fit. They wanted a massive £163 for the 20545/17 Pirelli Run Flats . The guy tried to soften the blow by saying that they had a 25% off offer for four. He said that it was not a good idea to mix & match. I thought that this was a sales ploy. |

| "I'm kind of a big deal" | Be careful when getting tyre quotes. Many outlets quote for the tyre only and then things like fitting, balancing, valves and even disposal of your old tyres are added to this initial quote. This is common with some of the bigger names whose prices look very cheap until you actual add on these extras. Always ask, "is that the total price including VAT and fitting?" |

Offline | if i was in england i'd have no trouble selling the springs the problem is i'm in australia and not many ppl have early 02 mini coopers and as a majority of buyers buy cooper S's here and we don't have ones, hardly anyone finds the springs useful here at all.... sad but true i got an exhaust because i wanted to make my car sound fast, but its not fast at all, so therefore i am a ricer.... |
