Exclamation Very urgent! Tire advice needed!

Hello, I have to install new tires on my MCS asap (car is being repaired). I currently have Pirelli P-Zero Assimetricos 205/45/17 on my stock 17" S-Lites (swapped original Dunlop Runflats) which are are excellent tires, fantastic grip, etc.

Problem is, although the tire performance is better than the Dunlops (although not massive difference IMHO) I didn't like that the tires also flex more hence the car rolls more on corners and hasn't got that instant turn-in the Dunlop RF's had (due to the tirewall stiffeness).

As you can see I actually prefer a stiff ride but also favour maximum performance from my tires.

Would a 215 / 40 / 17 tire offer me the best of both worlds? What would be the disavantages of this size on an original 205 / 45 intended rim? If I understand correctly the tire wall height in that aspect ratio will be "thinner"?

I cannot get hold of the new Bridgestone Potenza RE50's over here in Portugal (they have RF's in the original 205/45/17 size).

What would the better solution be? Advice please!

Only have experience of the Dunlop 17" RF's (currently have on the front and love) and the Pirelli 17" RF's (still got new ones on the back, but when I had them on the front as well, they were shockingly bad, when they wore down they tramlined like anything, scared the *** out of me a coulpe of times).

When the backs go I will be total Dunlop, as I stil;l want runflats and they are riding and wearing very nicely on the front at the mo

Sorry I cant be more help
