| MINI2 Master | From my dealer and MINI UK Customer Services:- Even on a MINI such as mine with standard 15" wheels, a spare wheel CANNOT be fitted after purchase. This is because, apparently the body and/or "tyre cage" is not built onto the car unless the spare is specified at purchase time (£25). My only option is to buy all the bits and put the spare in the boot - which will leave me with no luggage space. I'm *seriously* not happy about this. MINI UK take note - ****ed off customer alert! |

| MINI2 Master | I just found this out too. My situation isn't the same as I have runflats but wondered if I could get a flat too. The MINI mobility kit is the only option unless you want the spare in the boot as you say. The trouble is that the release handle, etc. is not present in cars which don't get the spare from the factory and it would be quite a job to add it after delivery. Harry MINI Cooper Cabrio: now the car with go cart handling really feels like an open go cart! Offline | Oh....... Not good news. Had a flat tyre experience with my courtesy car which had got me thinking about getting a spare retrofitted to my MINI... Well, let's hope that the mobility kit does a good job should it ever be needed. If not, I shall be seriously unimpressed! |

Offline | Do not rely on the mobility system, I tried to use this and failed due to the puncher was on the side wall. If the puncher is over, I think 5mm in size the system is not effective also. If I go long distance, I carry a spare in the boot. I have talked to others who have used the mobility system with the same result. You are better off buying a space saver from MINI. |
