wheel offset and wheel alignment

hi guys
i have recently changed my original wheels to oz ultralegerra with a 44 offset with 205-45-17 tyres. since i have done 45000 kms i found new springs and shocks dirt cheap so i changed the suspension. still stock suspension[ension from a 2006 cooper s with 900 kms on them. my question is whether the wheel alignment has to be according to factory specs or sth different? i have also installed an m7 upper strut brace. any advice would be greatly appreciated
thanks in advance

GEORGE

welwl i'm no expert but i'd say if oyur offsets are all equal you shoudnt have a problem wheel spasers are not uncommon either .if car lowered beyond acceptable limits effecting the ideal geomitry , iv'e hears coopers are very close to ideal ,then you could need someone versed in that type of thing to correct it.

It should still be according to factory spec. The wheel offset makes no difference to camber, caster or toe so therefore they don't need to be changed.

All the ET44 does is stick the wheels out of the body a little further as the hub mounting face is nearer the centre line than the standard ET48 (or ET50 for S Spokes). It may put a little more strain on suspension components but that's about it.

It was acceptable in the 80's
