Yokohamas A539 on MCS?

hi guys, anyone has any good experience with Yoko A539 on their Mini? are they safe in the wet? also are they noisy?

i am thinking of buying a set to replace my runflat, also will the 225/40R16 fit on my orginal X-lite wheels?

regards
Alfred

Have you checked out this thread? http://www.mini2.com/forum/wheels-ty...australia.html

Also, didn't the C-Drive tyres replace the A family?

I think you'd need a wheel at least 7" in width for a 225 tire ... X-lites are 6.5".

I have yokohama A539's on my S spokes on MCS. They are brilliant cant recommend them enough, less road noise than runflats, more economical on fuel, very grippy(did a track day on them, much more grip than runflats), they are lasting forever, and I would say they are pretty darn good in the wet!

At the track day (which was mainly a tvr/porsche/westfield track day) I noticed a renault 5 turbo and a 306 rallye with them on also.

And they are pretty inexpensive compared with the runflats too.

The Tire Rack doesn't list any tires in a 225/40-16 fitment. They list some in 225/45-16 and the minimum rim width listed for them is 7".

BTW ... the 225/40-16 fitment is not within the recommended ±3% of stock.
