Hi all
I'm looking to fit new tyres to my R90 replicas I'm told 215x40x17 would be the max I can have on them, is this right?? and which tyre make would you recommend and the reason why please. Thanks in anticipation

If your replicas have 40mm offset like mine 215/40-17 will fit in general. However 215/40
covers a range of tyre sizes e.g. my 215/40 Falken ZE-512 are only a couple of mm
wider than the 205/45 Pirelli Euforia they replaced. The Falkens are cheap'ish and a
good all round tyre e.g. fairly quiet, reasonable ride and good grip. If you want the best
go for Goodyear GS-D3 F1's they are probably the only tyre to be placed 1st or very
close second in every tyre test done by professionals. They are excellent wet or dry.

Some people are like a Slinky ........ not really good for anything, but you still can't help
but smile when you shove them down the stairs

They were my alloys Steve! So he's got exactly the same offset as you, as they are from the same place!
