Question Can I ditch my runflats?

Our 2 month old MCS, fitted with Dunlop DSST's, took it upon itself to run over an exhaust pipe left in the middle of the M62! I now need 2 new tyres and was wondering if I could replace them with non-run flats. My idea is to fit standad tyres and carry a can of aerosol tyre weld, as a 'get me home' solution.

Any thoughts?

Go for it. I'd change all four though, if that was not what you were thinking.

Alex at TireRack here in the states tells me that 85% of his sales on minis are to convetional tires. There is a kit for anout 75US that has a battery compressor with a replaceable cannister of sealant. When my wheels come in I will be going to non-runflats. I am told the ride is also smoother.
