Noob Question Regarding Wheels

Okay Peeps

I have these wheels on my mini

(S soz i dunno the name of them )

Anyway I am going straight to my friends tonight to try some different alloys on my Mini

What i need to know is do I require any sort or nut key for the bolts on the wheels (as I was not provided with one when I got my Mini from Sytner)

And It appears they is like a mini cover covering where the nuts would be, how do I pop this off?

I would refer to my manual but as I said I am going straight after work

So any help would be greatful

Thanks

There should be a little thingy that looks like a "candy cane" in the tool kit under the boot that's used to prise it open.

Did you get a little tool kit with your MINI? There is security "key" in that kit together with a hook to lift out the wheel centre cap.

Should be. The security "key" I mentioned is a piece of metal with a slatted end like a cog. That end fits into one of the four wheel nuts. You'll easily spot which one

You won't require a nut key unless you ordered the locking wheel lugs. If you did order these, the nut key would have been provided by the dealer.

A special tool for popping the wheel cover comes with most MINI's. You don't really need it, though--it pops off easily enough with a screwdriver.

oops didn't notice you where asking about the locking wheel nut key too. But KP Kalle has described that very well so hopefully you shoudl find it ok. If you can't see what you're looking for I'll go take photos of what you need and where they'll be in your boot.
