Angry Dunlop Tyre Roar

Greetings everyone

I want to gauge opinion on the Dunlop 18" run flats fitted to the JCW wheels. I replaced both front tyres about 4000 miles ago and have recently noticed HORRENDOUS tyre roar from 40mph upwards. This is especially noticeable on when slowing down from 70mph.

I drive a mixture of motorway, A and B roads and frequently check the tyres are correctly inflated. I have heard that this tyre is prone to this problem but not heard it on anyone elses car.
Has anyone else out there experienced the same? I am considering mentioning it to the dealer as it is that bad, looking to maybe getting 2 new tyres?

Thanks guys

Pete

Tyre noise increases as wheel size (and width) increases and side walls have to become stiffer. The tread pattern may have something to do with it too, but I'd imagine the more noise, the more grip.

Yeah the 18's on my boss's 530d make a horrendous noise, whirs and hums like a worn out wheel bearing.
