would relish a comparision of 16" Bridge Spokes vs. S-Winders. I'm having to pick between the two soon. Anyone at MINI2 know anyone at the factory that can go and weight the wheels without tyres? :-)

If I had to guess I'd say the S-Winders are lighter.

I don't much care for their looks however

Per the FAQ http://www.mini2.com/forum/faq.php?f...l_tire_te ch:
For comparison purposes the lightest wheels are:

15" R81 7-hole = 12.0 lb (5.4 kg)

16" R84 X-lite = 17.6 lb (8.0 kg)

17" R91 5-spoke Bullet = 20.6 lb (9.4 kg)

18" R107 GP ET52 = 19.8 lb (9.0 kg)
Is the 17" R85 S-spoke {25.1 lb (11.4 kg)} the same as the 17" Crown spoke?
Is there a 16" Crown spoke

Scrogg got the following weights from one of his contacts:
15x5.5 R100 = 19.6lb (8.9kg)
15x5.5 R101 = NO INFO CURRENTLY AVAILABLE
16x6.5 R102 = 22.0lb (10kg)
16x6.5 R103 = 18.9lb (8.6kg)
17x7 R104 = 22.0lb (10kg)
17x7 R108 = 22.0lb (10kg)
18x7 R109 = NO INFO CURRENTLY AVAILABLE
The weights of the R102 and R103 are in question as they look like they should be the other way around ...
R102

R103
I'm not aware of any 18" R99 wheel

Please let us know what you find out.

18" R99 wheel: Perhaps it is a typo? Check out MINIUSA under: "Learn" "Featured accessories" & "Wheels."

Thanks again!

I see it there but it doesn't show up on the configurator under Accessories: Wheels.

Surely R99s are only available in 17"? I can't see why MINI would offer them in 18" only for the US market?
