Does anyone know what make / size of tyres the new MCS is fitted with and are these the same spec as the old ones

If it has the CHILI pack it will be the same as the old 205/45 R17

The new wheels come with Dunlop Sport SP01 (I think) they are Dunlops new runflats.

The full list of tyres supplied on MINI can be found here in the Wheels and Tyres FAQ & DIY.

The only changes to the list for the R56 are:

Dunlop SP Sport 3000 has been replaced by 195/55 R16 Dunlop SP Sport 01
Goodyear NCT5 has been replaced by 195/55 R16 Goodyear Excellence
Dunlop SP Sport 9000 has been replaced by 205/45 R17 Dunlop SP Sport 01

The R56 runflats have been described as "2nd generation" and are supposed to represent a significant improvement.

However, as has been said on another thread, replacement 17" Dunlop SP Sport 01's seem to be unobtainable at present.

Thanks for the info, I was had just been wondering if the tyres WERE different, where you could get them from, but it sounds as though we will have to wait until later
